This is part 1 of 3 of what I am calling my "Alone Series". I thought I'd try a more realistic style here, and I think it worked out well. The concept behind this piece is Inuyasha as a young child all alone (hence the title). I went for a dark landscape, which was rather finicky, but well worth the effort. Balancing the shadows was even more time consuming.
The series is really one big painting with different layers added and subtracted. View "Not Alone" and "Never Alone" to get the full scope of this work, and you'll start to understand why it took me well over a month to complete, working for hours at a time. I don't think I've ever spent this much time on a piece of artwork in my entire life, so I hope you all love it. I have also uploaded 3 details for this series, so you can enjoy the work as it was meant to be appreciated.
