I worked on this piece at the same time as the portrait of Sesshoumaru as a child. I really enjoyed expanding my ability to use a realistic style of art. 4 months of work went into the two pieces, as near as I can figue out. Probably closer to 5, but I'm not sure. I just don't understand how some people can speed-paint.
As with the other piece, I'm very fond of how the eyes and hair turned out. I've never really managed to create satisfactory hair before, but I'm satisfied here. The background was a nightmare. I attempted to make Inuyasha look like he belongs in this landscape by trying my hand at creating a dappled shadow effect on him. I'm a bit timid about how this is going to look on some monitors, and I'm anxious to know if it worked well. Leave comments on both pieces, please! Head over to view Sesshoumaru-chan. Comments

 I think I have to say that love how the lips turned out. Its a small part but I like the color tone of them. The eyes are pretty intense as well. Over-all things I have to say are positive and hope more people come across this because you certainly deserve the hits. -- Are you an Avatard that likes NonCanon and Crack? Join ~AvatarNonCanon I enjoy Inuyasha's pout in this one. While Sesshoumaru looks very self-contained, Inuyasha looks slightly sullen, which I think really suits their personalities. People seem to be looking at the other one more, so I'm glad you like this one!
